 Description  « Hide
Problem:

A JAWS user cannot edit the title of the tool, because after entering Forms Mode, all text disappears; JAWS simply announces "blank." The text entered while in Forms Mode can be seen after turning Forms Mode off again, but if a mistake was made while typing, it is not easy to correct it, since JAWS will not read what is in the edit field once Forms Mode is turned back on again

Desired Behaviors:

A JAWS user should be able to read what is entered in the edit field and make corrections while in Forms Mode.

Recommended Repairs:

Find an alternate way so that all users can edit this information.

Joe, could you provlde a more complete description of what you're referring to here? What tool are you in, the Page Order Helper? Is it jut the WYSIWYG's title that you cannot edit?

under site info and the Page order... when you go to edit the title of the tool. It may not be FCK.

Was not able to duplicate problem using IE 6.0 and JAWS. However, page order helper tool icons are not labeled properly. "Lightbulb" for example does not tell user that it is, in fact, a tool ordering function.

Also, there is no description of the page's features, how they work, or where an item lies within the list, before or after being moved.

I've downgraded this to a minor issue, since reordering tools and renaming tools are not critical functions.
