This will reduce a few clicks in the case where a user will apply the same Layout to every page in a portfolio

This is makes good sense as a default option. However, it should be possible for more sophisticated users to still be able to change the layout of individual pages if desired.

My take on this would be that you can specify a default layout for your portfolio. Then, when you go to add pages, that layout is preselected for you. It can still be changed if so desired. If no default layout is chosen, it behaves just as it does now.

Tasks for 2.5.0 have been completed. We're nearing the end of the QA cycle and A lot of general regression testing has been going on for the past few months - the changes have likely been reviewed via this method of testing
