currently in transition
I am managing director of the USC Annenberg Center but "leaving" 31dec05. I will move to a research fellow position at same, along with adjunct faculty at the Interactive Media Division of the School of Cinema-TV, and also maybe another department. And there may be a disaster preparedness/training/game startup in there somewhere.
I do a lot of work in social software, and have interests in social networks, games as applied to training and simulation, national security "issues" (especially cyber), remix, and intellectual property. We like to poke people with sharp sticks and break things.
In a previous life I was a chemistry professor.
In a current life I'm also a musician and race car driver.
