Sakai Training

Is there any human training available for actually implementing this product?

There are a number of sources available to learn how to deploy Sakai into your school system. Some of these are self-directed and incude the Sakaipedia http://bugs.sakaiproject.org/confluence/display/ENC/Home, the Sakai Knowledge Base https://www.indiana.edu/~sakaikb/, and the Sakai project collaboration sites http://collab.sakaiproject.org (requires an account for which you can self-register). One of the Sakai collaboration sites, DG-Development, serves as a site for general developers and integrators. Questions can be posed and answered there. Also consider DG-User as collab.sakaiproject.org, which is billed as the place for the end-users of Sakai (faculty, staff, students, and researchers) to be involved.

The Sakai Educational Partnership Program also sponsors two conferences annually which include some live training. The next conference is in December in Atlanta. Have a look at http://www.sakaiproject.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=418&Itemid=567. If you are serious about using Sakai as your class support system, I urge you to consider joining SEPP.

Finally, there are several companies that offer support for Sakai installation, under the Sakai Commercial Affiliates.
