Developer Environment

While it is possible to develop Sakai code using any itegrated development environment (IDE), or even using the pure Java tools, Sakai strongly recommends the use of Eclipse. Eclipse is an open source IDE available from http://www.eclipse.org.

This section describes how to set up your software development tools and how to install the Sakai Developer Environment from the CVS repository. It will include a description of how Maven is used to compile and deploy software, the use of the Sakai software repository, working with CVS, etc.
