Room: Jr D
Session Abstract
This session will describe Sakai's licensing practices. The Sakai Foundation has modelled a simple, yet rigorous process for ensuring that the work of our community is done in a legally sustainable way. The session will discuss the reasoning behind the Educational Community License and it's impact on our community. We will walk through the process for including 3rd party code in the Sakai distribution, contribution agreements, and the application of the ECL to work intended to be used by the Sakai community.
