Overview of OSP - part 2

TBA

Tuesday
10:15 am - 11:45 am
Room: Grand C

Session Abstract

This session is part two of a half-day workshop on a "beginner's guide" to the Open Source Portfolio (OSP). (This session is also offered Tuesday afternoon) This session will provide a "beginner's guide" to the Open Source Portfolio (OSP). A brief conceptual overview of the OSP tools will begin the session followed by a hands-on tour of the tools. Discover how the Open Source Portfolio can be applied to your campus through understanding of: what a portfolio is, how it can be used for student learning or program assessment; and of each tool in OSP during this interactive session. The facilitator will guide session participants through several scenarios where they will generate interactive portfolio environments. Session participants will also be able to discuss, in-depth, the opportunities possible with the OSP software. Additionally, institutional teams are encouraged to attend together as the outcome of the session will equip attendees to begin implementation planning at an institution. Who should attend: * Faculty * Instructional Designers * University Administrators, etc. * All are welcome--no technical knowledge required. A wireless equipped laptop is strongly suggested for this session.
