Load Testing Templates: Artifacts of NYU's Load Testing Implementation

Speaker(s): Max Whitney

Session Abstract

Like cleaning the toilet, everyone knows you should do load testing, but no one wants to be the one stuck doing it. It's messy. There's always something you didn't expect, like a hairball or an origami swan. We are here to be your scrubbing bubbles. We'll be presenting a coherent set of checklists and scripts which we used to first benchmark our pilot system and to then load test each step of our way forward. The talk will concentrate on the structure of a load testing process using The Grinder 3, with a nod to GUI testing using Selenium.
