Learning Activities Loosely Coupled with Sakai

Abstract

Tutorial-style learning activity, unlike robust general-purpose Sakai tools, are assembled quickly from learning content and applications such as wikis and spreadsheets. Here a more loosely coupled architectures provide educators with greater control of content, process and presentation. We describe the development and characterise examples of such learning activities that have evolved at the University of Cape Town using some of the Sakai functionality.
