You can get an online course for display purposes only, and let students see the syllabus, the critical definitions, your mid-semester and final review sheets, and even some of your lecture notes, online. The materials can be set up well in advance, and opened from the start, or on a schedule, or manually, as appropriate, by you.
COSC 2010-02 Materials
Pedagogy: Beware putting all lecture materials online, just as you would beware handing out hardcopy of your lectures, subverting motivation for class attendance. Refrain from changing the online documents without warning, in spite of the ease of doing so.
Platform:
- Requires easy file transfer, downloading, printing.
- Provide, or note, client applications for document types used.
